Horse Trailer Safety Stickers, do they Work?
Do Those Horse Trailer Safety Stickers really work?
How many times have you been hauling your horse trailer and tailgated?
Or worried about someone smashing into you or you smashing them because they are too close? As a former truck driver, I wish drivers would just be patient and stay where I can see them and not cut me off.
Do warning stickers really work? OSHA seems to think so. They have created an entire CRF around safety signs for big trucks and work areas. Though public opinion is still up in the air, one blog member from The Chronicle of the Horse Says, "Ours seemed to work. Got them for the same reason, people tailgating. We knew we were moving thousands of miles and thought it couldn’t hurt. We had maybe one tailgater the whole trip and my husband slowed down until the guy moved off." While I could not round up actual statistics of having a sticker VS not Having a Sticker, as a former CDL Driver I think they make a difference to motorists who pay attention to their surroundings. Unfortunately, that's not all drivers.
Let's have fun and try to get those motorists' attention!
